Dr. Wen zhumu
Deputy Secretary-General of the Digital Economy Alliance (D50), Member of the United Nations Expert Group on Digital Economy.
Wen Zhumu, a Ph.D. in Cybersecurity from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Global Digital Economy Alliance (D50), a member of the United Nations Digital Economy Expert Group, and the Executive Director of the 801 Cyberspace Security Research Institute. He also holds the position of Vice President of the Cybersecurity Ecology Committee of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Wen is one of the pioneers in the field of electronic government and e-commerce security mechanisms in China. He has been involved in key projects such as the "National Security Party and Government Office System" and the "Domestic Information Security Platform" under the "863 Program". He participated in the "15th Anniversary Achievement Exhibition of the 863 Project" and has been received by several top national leaders including Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao. In 2002, he co-founded the Siyuan Education Group, which has trained over 100,000 IT engineers and has become the second-largest IT training enterprise in the country.
In recent years, Dr. Wen has focused his research on the security mechanisms of big data, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and the security and governance of the digital economy. He has undertaken several national-level research projects commissioned by the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission and other related ministries. He has participated multiple times in the second-track dialogue on digital economy between China and the United States and was invited as a representative of developing countries to attend the United Nations Digital Economy Expert Group Meeting (EGM) in 2019.
